Can love survive the cruelty of high school politics?

Purcell’s classic opera Dido and Aeneas is paired with Canadian composer James Rolfe’s Aeneas and Dido to create a fascinating double bill that explores both sides of this tragic love story. Performed in the gymnasium at Broadway Neighbourhood Centre, our production puts the famous couple in a modern high school environment where their relationship is threatened by bullying and gossip.
